Why does the weight of the boxes vary from month to month?

Depending on the type of seasonal fruit or vegetables, your box might be heavier or lighter. In the case of fruit: Summer boxes are usually lighter because stoned fruits or grapes have higher production costs (€/kg) than winter fruits, such as citrus fruits. In the case of vegetables, product varieties may also vary in weight and cost of production, but the difference is not as visible.
Thanks to the economies of scale we can achieve by producing and shipping many boxes at once, the price of this box will always be cheaper than buying a single fruit or vegetable.🌱
