I'm having trouble with phone and SMS validation
During sign-up and participation in the CrowdFarming referral programme for new invited users, you'll need to validate your phone number using an OTP (One-Time Password) to ensure the authenticity of the account and invites. Here's how to resolve common issues when validating your phone number.
Phone number validation process:
- Please enter your phone number during sign-up, making sure to include the right country code (e.g., +49 for Germany).
- Receive the OTP: Once your number has been entered, you'll receive an SMS with a 4-digit code. This code is unique and has limited validity.
- Enter the OTP in the corresponding field to validate your phone number and complete sign-up.
Common problems and how to solve them:
- I haven't received the OTP via SMS
- Possible cause 1: The phone number wasn't entered correctly or there are problems with your provider's network.
- Solution 1: Check that the number entered is correct, including the country code. Make sure you have a good network signal. If you haven't received the code yet, you can request it again after 60 seconds.
- Possible cause 2: The phone number is already linked to a CrowdFarming account.
- Solution 2: A phone number may only be linked to one account, so you won't be able to reuse it if you've already used it to sign up before. If you're not sure whether you have a username on our platform, please contact our support team for help.
- The OTP is incorrect or expired
- Possible cause: The password entered doesn't match the one sent or the validity time of 30 minutes has passed.
- Solution: Make sure you enter the code correctly. If it has expired after 30 minutes, request a new one on the same page.
- I've exceeded the maximum number of attempts to enter the code
- Possible cause: There's a limit of attempts to enter the OTP (maximum 3).
- Solution: If you've reached the limit of attempts, you'll need to request a new OTP and follow the process from the start again.
