Climacteric fruit
This type of product continues to ripen outside the tree or plant. If you want to speed up the ripening, we recommend placing it in a bowl along with other climacteric products, for example, next to some apples.
Storage
The Canary Island banana ripens progressively after harvesting and changes colour from an intense green tone to a yellow tone characteristic of the product at its optimum moment for consumption. We recommend keeping them in a cool, well ventilated place to allow them to ripen gradually. Once the yellow tones have been reached, they can be kept refrigerated. Cold temperatures can oxidise the banana skin, causing it to reach brownish/blackish tones, but this does not affect the taste quality of the product.
